In keeping with a long-standing tradition at FUTSOC, we recognize outstanding members within our organization for special mention of their countless achievements on and off the field during the season.
For this season, we are proud to recognize a fine young man who came to us as a surprise transfer from the northeast, who day in and day out, displays the most cooperative attitude with teammates and coaching staff, is always prompt to his practices, plays in practice and during games with nothing less than total effort, always shows a positive demeanor and respectful attitude and leads by example.
For these and many more reasons, we are proud to announce as our very first selection for the 2016-2017 season: FUTSOC FUTALAN RED U16 Captain Jack Racicot!
My older brother started to play when he was four years old on a town team when I was two and my dad was the coach for my brother’s team. I practiced with the team and watched the games from the sidelines so I basically grew up into soccer.
My father is the most inspirational person to me because he motivates me and guided me as I grew up. His achievements are at a certain point and I believe I need to pass that point in my life. Without him, my life would be so much more different.
The most interesting person to me is Tom Brady because he has won four Super Bowls with the New England Patriots and is going for his fifth. He has overcome many obstacles and is passionate about his career and his work ethic.
I was born on the July 13th, in the year of 2002 in Seoul, South Korea. After a few months, I was adopted by my parents now on November 26th of the same year. I do not know a lot about my birth family, but I am sure that they are very nice people. I flew out of South Korea to Tokyo, Japan, then to San Francisco, California, and then to Boston, Massachusetts. My parents picked me up at the airport around 8:30 that night and brought me to my new home. When I was living in Massachusetts, I learned how to do many activities. I water ski, wake-board, snow ski, snowboard, ice skate, and play the piano. Back in Massachusetts, I played soccer for many different teams. I played on a town team, travel team, the middle school team, and two premier teams.
I am really enjoying my experience so far at FUTSOC and I think it is a well-taught organization. Everyone was nice and welcoming when I first started out here and made me feel right at home. This was a great way to meet new people and gain friends considering that I just moved here this past summer. I am looking forward towards the future of the club and to see what the next achievement is for it.
