STEPS TO FOLLOW TO MAKE IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL!
STEP 1 - PREPARE
FRESHMAN / SOPHOMORE
Primary focus:
- Practice proper sutudying habits
- Achieve good grades in school
- Learn to organize your time and schedule
- Keep improving your soccer skills
Secondary focus:
- Start exploring the different colleges / universities
STEP 2 - PRODUCE
JUNIOR
Primary focus:
- Research different schools and majors
- Make a list of 5-7 schools you are interested in attending
- Introduce yourself to university soccer coaches
- Record your games and create a compilation video of your skills (less than 5 minutes)
Secondary focus:
- Attend university training camps
- Visit universities you are interested in
- Begin applying for as many scholarships as possible
STEP 3 - PURSUE
SENIOR
Primary focus:
- Make official visits to universities you are interested in
- Look for schools that suit your needs
- Narrow down your list to 3-4 schools
- Stay in constant contact with coaches you are interested in playing with
- Send coaches video of your play (less than 5 minutes)
- Complete your FAFSA as soon as possible (applications open January 1st of every year)
Secondary focus:
- Continue applying for as many scholarships as possible
